Most inputs should display tooltips if you mouseover them (although this may not be the case for all setups). Most settings have a tooltip that will appear when you mouse over it. The Syncplay configuration window will always appear when you run Syncplay directly. If you open a file with Syncplay then the configuration window will only appear if the “Don’t always show this dialog” option is unchecked (or if you have failed to enter all required settings). The list is updated when Syncplay checks for software updates, and can be manually refreshed by pressing the “update list” button.

Finally, Syncplay does not provide a voice or text-based chat platform to allow for discussion during playback. Furthermore, users must manually choose what file to play as Syncplay does not synchronize, which is open. Syncplay does not synchronize player configuration, audio/subtitle track choice, playback rate, volume, or filters. Syncplay does not use video streaming or file sharing, so each user must copy the media to be played. When a new person joins, they will also be synchronized. This means that when one person pauses/unpauses playback or seeks (jumps position) within their media player, this will be replicated across all media players connected to the same server and in the same 'room' (viewing session). 
Syncplay synchronizes the position and play-state of multiple media players so that the viewers can watch the same thing simultaneously. Syncplay can synchronize video playback on many players, including Mplayer, MPV, Media Player Classic, and VLC, so that you can watch movies with friends at the same time.
